What information do we collect? How do we use it?

How does IslamiCity protect customer information?
When you place orders, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.
What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they do enable us to store items in your shopping cart between visits. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. Even without a cookie, you can still use most of the features in our store, including placing items in your shopping cart and purchasing them.
Will IslamiCity disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
IslamiCity does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. Also, IslamiCity may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

Paying by Credit Card
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.
Paying By Check Or Postal Money Order
We do accept checks or money orders denominated in U.S. dollars as payment for all orders.
To pay by check, simply select "pay by check". Once you have fully submitted your order, Send your payment to:

Currently we are only able to accept postal money orders denominated in U.S. dollars or checks denominated in U.S. dollars and drawn on a U.S. bank. Checks must also have a valid nine-digit bank routing number (ABA code) MICR-encoded on the bottom of the check.
Paying by check does slow down your order somewhat, as we don't ship your items until your check is received and your funds clear. If you are in the United States, paying by personal check typically delays your order about seven to ten days.
PLEASE NOTE: Available funds from checks are not designated to specific orders.We will ship the first available order for which there are sufficient funds.
We do not accept COD (Cash On Delivery) Payment.
Sales tax is charged only on orders sent within the state of California. California laws require that we charge a sales tax on the full amount of the order. Because charges for gift-wrap and shipping and handling are considered part of the product, by law these charges must be included when sales tax is calculated.
Our return policy is simple. Within 15 days of receipt of your order, you may return
- Any book in its original condition.
- Any unopened CD, DVD, VHS tape, or software.
- Any other merchandise in new condition, with its original packaging and accessories.
for a full refund (less shipping and handling). Please note that we can process returns and refunds only for items purchased from IslamiCity.
How to Return Items
To return any book, CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, or other, no call is required.
Simply indicate the reason for your return, include the packing slip with your return, and wrap the package securely. Attach the return label from the front of your packing slip and ship to the address indicated on the label. For your protection, we recommend that you use UPS or Insured Parcel Post for shipment. No refund will be issued to items not received by IslamiCity. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure that the items are returned securely and in good condition.

Refunds
We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the returned item. Please note that we can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error.

IslamiCity will gladly ship to most countries of the world. We reserve the right to decline shipment to certain countries or addresses within the US or outside. We currently use the United States Postal Service Priority Mail, Global Priority, and Air Mail. All of our orders are insured and / or traceable. If you prefer FedEx, UPS, DHL as your shipment method, please specify this in your order's comments section. Additional charges will apply.
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from IslamiCity, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Customs forms for all international packages list the value of your order's contents by product type. For instance, orders containing CDs, videos, and books will be listed in a way similar to the following example:
Books value: $29.55
CDs value: $ 9.95
Video value: $39.95
If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift," but the cost of the items is still stated on the customs form. Currently, we are not able to describe the contents in any other way.
